Green Valley Recreation
Green Valley Recreation, Inc. with its 12 active recreation centers, 90 employees and more that 11 thousand membership households,
forms the nexus of the community's recreational offerings. Activities include year-round tennis, swimming,
Jacuzzis, billiards, shuffleboard, ceramics and photography, just to name a few. For more information

Titan Missile Museum
The Titan Missile Museum is the only publicly accessible Titan II missile site in the nation. When you visit
the Titan Missile Museum, you travel through time to stand on the front line of the Cold War.
Presidio of Tubac
This former military outpost was Arizona's first state park and is fast becoming an artist enclave.
Although little but buried foundation walls remains of the old presidio (fort), this small park does a
good job of presenting the region's Spanish colonial history. The nearby Tumacacori mission
was founded in 1691, but it was not until 1752 that Tubac Presidio was established in response
to a Pima Indian uprising.
Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
Living animal and plants of the Sonora Desert region. Many unique exhibits indoor and outdoor.
Tubac Center of the Arts
The Tubac Center of the Arts is a non-profit, member-supported organization that exists to provide comprehensive arts programming in the Santa Cruz Valley of Southern Arizona.
Galleria Tubac
This place is a showcase for Southwest arts and crafts as well as a unique year-round Christmas gallery offering Christmas tree ornaments, Santa's, nativities and collectibles from all over the world.
Flandrau Planetarium
A fun and educational science center on the University of Arizona campus. Star Theater programs, laser
light shows and science demonstrations. Free walk-through exhibits, science store, meeting rooms
and a 16" telescope.
Attractions
Colossal Cave
Possibly the world's largest dry limestone cavern. Welcome to Colossal Cave Mountain Park, this
dormant cave is the home to dozens of species of
mammals, including bats. Colossal Cave, which is on National Register of Historic Places,
has been inhabited by prehistoric peoples as well as train robbers. Open daily, tours begin every few minutes.
Kitt Peak National Observatory
Established in 1958 as the country's first national observatory. Site of the Mayall 158" telescope
and McMath Solar telescope, the world's largest solar observation instrument. On the Tohono
O'odham (formerly Papago) Indian Reservation. Tours on weekends, holidays. Open to the public
every day except December 25. No admission fee. No food available, take picnic lunch.
Sonoita Vineyards
Arizona wines are becoming a drink of preference. A number of excellent wineries are located near Sonoita and Patagonia.
Golf
Canoa Hills Golf Course
A David Bennett designed course that plays 6088 yards from regulation tees. An 18-hole, par 72 course with natural desert vegetation, it provides spectacular views of the Santa Rita Mountains. There is also a driving range, pro shop, putting green, club rentals, snack bar and lounge. 18 Hole Green Fees vary by the season
Canoa Ranch Golf Course
This course opened in January of 2003, and was designed by Lee Schmid and Brian Curley. It is a par 70, 18-hole course that plays 6549 yards. Also available are: pro shop, driving range, putting green and 2 chipping greens.
Haven Public Golf Course & Tortuga Golf Course
This Snyder designed course plays 6394 from the regulation tees. It is a par 72, 18-hole course and holds the title as the oldest course, built in 1963. It has a driving range, club rentals and a snack shop and lounge.
Quail Creek Country Club
This course was designed by golf architect Ken Kavanaugh. The championship course plays 7005 yards from the back tees. It features a par 72, one-of-a-kind course that meanders through the high desert terrain with the Santa Rita Mountains providing a panoramic backdrop.
San Ignacio Golf Club
This course opened in 1989 and was designed by Arthur Hill. This challenging course plays 5865 yards from regulation tees. It features a par 71 desert layout and has four teeing areas for various levels of skill.
Torres Blancas
This Lee Trevino designed course plays 6978 yards from regulation tees. It is a par 72, 18-hole traditional Links style course that extends along the Santa Cruz River and the largest pecan orchards in Arizona.
Tubac Golf Resort
Designed by Fred Lawrence, this course just underwent a complete renovation. This is a par 71, 18-hole course playing 6575 yards.

Green Valley Area Canyons & Parks
Madera Canyon
Just minutes from Green Valley in a wooded valley at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains,
Madera Canyon is a pleasant respite from the summer heat. Madera Canyon offers hiking,
picnicing and camping throughout most of the year. Trails range from the easy to the difficult.
The Super Trail travels all the way to the summit of Mt. Wrightson.
In addition, Madera Canyon draws bird watchers from around the world, and is renowned
for an incredible variety of Humming Birds. Other birds seen at Madera Canyon include:
Nighthawks, Swifts, Hawks, Golden Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Flycatchers, Owls and many more.
Sabino Canyon
Picnicking, bicycling, hiking. Cars not allowed in canyon. Shuttle service
into canyon operates every day of year; leave and reboard as you wish. Visitor center and nature
trail at entrance.
Saguaro National Monument
63,000 acres of magnificent saguaro cacti. Rincon Mountain Section. Monument headquarters,
exhibits, 9 mile circular drive, picnicking. On Old Spanish Train east of Tucson.
Tucson Mountain Section. Information center, picnicking.
Reid Park
Includes Hi Corbett Field, home of the Tucson Toros Triple A baseball
and the Colorado Rockies spring training. Reid Park Zoo, 36-hole golf course, tennis.
Pena Blanca Lake
52 acre lake near Mexican border; fishing, boat rental, picnic area and campground.
Patagonia Lake
Fishing and boating facilities. Stop in the town of Patagonia and visit
the Horse of a Different Color Emporium (located in the old Museum of the Horse).
